Marketed by Getsemani Music (ASCAP) Milford, Ohio

Michael Brian Oliva was born in Boston, Massachusetts on

September 7, 1985, and transplanted to the Cincinnati area in 1991. At the age of 15, his interests shifted from skateboarding to guitar. Mike proved to be a natural guitar player and honed his playing skills under the guidance of Chris Dunnett.

Mike started his first band, Something Real in 2001 and started

playing solo acoustic gigs in 2003. In the winter of 2003, Mike began working on his first CD project. The first album, “Expressions” was

designed to capture all of Mike's creative talents. He decided to do

everything himself and plays electric, acoustic and bass guitar, drums (via keyboard or drum machines,) piano and synthesizer. He also sings all vocal parts. Finally, he mixed and recorded everything himself, so the final product is 100% an expression of Michael Brian Oliva.

The musical style of "Expressions" can generally be described as "rock," but the feel of the various songs touch on a wide variety of expression including folk, ballads, reggae, 60's classic rock, 50's rock and roll, and funk.

Proceeds from this concert will help to further Mike’s musical

education, and help promote future CD’s. Mike has already started

working on his next CD, “Dreamer” which will be released in the spring.
